Business System Upgrade

First Moments Inc., is the country's leading sampling company targeting new parents and newlyweds. First Moments sought to leverage leading edge technology when they decided to upgrade their existing LAN based DOS system.

The Problem

The existing Artemis system was MS-DOS based and provided users with a convoluted "green screen" interface. The system was also LAN based and therefore not capable of taking advantage of the e-business potential of the web.

The Approach

Utilize InsiTech's XTT Technology™ and migrate the existing MS-DOS system over to a rich user interface web enabled MS-SQL database.

The Solution

Migrate the existing business data over to a custom designed MS-SQL database. Rich Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) are developed through the use of the XTT platform.

The Results

Essentially creating an extremely flexible Mini-ERP system with variable/customizable Bills of Materials based on demographics and marketing trends.

Use of XTT technology enables new system to have a windows look and feel and operate on any network.

New system enables data input and performance reporting via an intranet. Information is accessible real time.

Management Reporting is performed in a drill down manner enabling business performance metrics to be viewed from various perspectives.
